Last year, 2017, our doctoral student Martin Miškuf managed to obtain a Students to the World grant from the Tatra banka foundation . The aim of the grant program is to support the best students to gain new knowledge and experience through internships and studies abroad, but to find motivation to return to Slovakia and use the acquired knowledge at home. Under the grant program, financial grants were provided up to a maximum of EUR 5,000 to cover part of the costs associated with study visits abroad (max. Two semesters), summer schools, internships and research stays at one of the renowned universities abroad, which will be implemented beyond ordinary study.
Grant funds were used to cover travel and accommodation costs. Thanks to this support, a research stay at the prestigious University of Auckland was possible . During his stay, doctoral student Martin Miškuf collaborated on common topics such as Industry 4.0 and Operator 4.0 with the research group Intelligent and Interoperable Manufacturing Systems (IIMS) led by Professor Xun William XU from the University of Auckland . We also enclose a few photos from this research stay.
