Description

The subject aims to improve the student’s knowledge of cloud technologies obtianed via prior subjects. Subject graduates will gain a better grip on the fundamentals of cloud technologies,  their properties, providers and applications in the fields of IoT, AI, control and web/mobile/hybrid application development.

Through the course, students will familiarize themeselves with the fundamental pillars of the cloud technologies, their development and deployment models, providers and their services, and principles of virtualization, containerisation and orchestration. The first project is focused on getting the first hand experience with the containerisation platform – Docker. In their work, students should demonstrate basic understandings of Docker, it’s usage and capabilities. In the second, group based project, students should demonstrate their understanding of cloud providers and their services, cloud oriented design of web/mobile applications and team work during their work on web/mobile application powered by cloud services.
