Research stays University of Auckland, New Zealand
January / February 2018: we carried out 3 research stays, during which we got to the other side of the globe. Doctoral students Erik Kajáti, Martin Miškuf and Dr. Peter Pacun traveled to New Zealand to the Intelligent and Interoperable Manufacturing Systems (IIMS) research group of Professor Xun William XU from the University of Auckland . Members of the Intelligent Cybernetics Group presented their research focus, projects and possibilities of cooperation with KKUI, TUKE. These stays were realized thanks to the Erasmus + programs and the Tatrabanka Foundation: the Students to the World program . We also enclose a few photos from this research stay.
Dr. Peter Papcun has repeatedly presented KKUI, our research projects and collaboration opportunities.
We held a workshop where members of the IIMS group could try out the principles of IoT and Cloud computing.
Doctoral student Martin Miškuf presented the results of his dissertation.
We are connected with the IIMS research group by several scientific topics
such as Industy 4.0 and Operator 4.0, which were presented to us in the LISMS laboratory .
Professor Xun W. XU and Dr. Ray Y. Zhong from the University of Auckland at a joint meeting with KKUI doctoral students.
Doctoral student Erik Kajáti will remain on his 3-month mobility at the University of Auckland until mid-April.
We firmly believe that this experience will benefit him, and we will soon see each other again in Košice.
Finally, we also attach a few photos outside the university, where we managed to get lost on the weekends.
