Description

The graduate of the course will gain additional knowledge and practical experience from the latest intelligent (smart) information management systems and IoT on the basis of various IT platforms (hardware, software, communications, methods). They will learn to analyze, select and use various simulation, development and deployment platforms. They will get acquainted with the basic properties of selected sensors, actuators, control units (Arduino, Raspberry PI, PLC) operation and wireless (mobile) means of communication and equipment for applications from the edge (gateway) of the Internet network to the cloud. After completing this course, students will improve in the application of Python, C and C # languages ​​and ladder schemes. The teaching of the subject will be focused on current IT technologies and intelligent methods from the areas of Smart Home, Smart Industry, Smart Robotics,

Subject syllabus

• Extension of basic terminology – intelligent systems, intelligent space, IoT, IoE, open systems; intelligence, automation, management and decision-making, informatics in intelligent information management systems
• Classical and modern procedures in the development of intelligent solutions, analysis, simulation, development and deployment platforms and services – hardware, communication, software and applications (eg GitHub, Arduino, Rapsberry, CISCO, Matlab, MS, IBM)
• Basic properties of different types of control units (Arduino, Rapsberry, ARM, PC, PLC, PAC, FPGA, fog gateway,…) and their application logic and communication with the environment
• Basics of operation of wireless (mobile) communication means and devices (eg Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, RFID, ZigBee, eBeacon)
• Operating systems and databases for solutions in intelligent space and IoT
• Programming systems based on Arduino, Rapsberry, ARM in C, C #, Python
• PLC / PAC programming – ladder diagrams
• Application of open communication and application protocols – OPC, MQTT, NFC
• User interfaces and interactions in intelligent systems, 3D space
• Intelligence / smart methods in open systems, introduction to localization and navigation
• Case studies – Smart Home, Smart Health & Living, Smart Industry, Smart Robotics.
