On Monday, June 5, 2017, we promoted our studies at FEI TUKE at the RBA 2017 competition (Robotic Battle at Gymnázium Alejová) and talked about study programs at KKUI . We presented the Intelligent Systems Department with an emphasis on Applied Informatics. In addition, we brought our perspective on the most current technological topics and demonstrations from the world of robotics and information technology. This event was attended by students from all over Slovakia. It competed in 3 categories: Custom Model, Robotic Challenge and Racing. Our colleague, Dr. Peter Papcun, was also a judge in one of the categories – Own model. At our stand, students and all participants of this event could try, for example:
- REPAIR – a wrist rehabilitation device built by us
- LEAP – application transforming the image of the hand into a 3D skeleton of the hand
- MYO armband – control of the game Agar.io using gestures
- Smart Home monitoring – our own IoT device for a few euros
- Khepera III robots – avoiding obstacles
- Robot Hanson – what emotions look like in a robot
- Robot NAO – various dances and robotic football
