Architectures of industrial information systems

Teacher : Ing. Peter Papcun, PhD

Gaining knowledge of information and control systems architectures IRS, Industry 4.0, Factory of future. Interactive simulation and control of technological processes.

Description

Students will acquire knowledge in the field of design of architectures of middle layers of information and control systems (IRS) based on Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (Internet of Everything), Factory of future, they will learn to practically apply web technology in industrial management, virtual and remote environment for interactive simulation and remote control of technological processes. They will be able to use and apply the latest information and communication technologies for the design and implementation of IRS architectures of industrial enterprises. As part of exercises and project work, they will design and implement an integrated structure of middle IRS levels on technological systems in laboratory conditions. They will gain competencies in the field of configuration and use of database systems, computer networks and visualization products and services for intelligent interactions. They will prepare advanced case studies or essays based on the latest knowledge and technologies (Machine and Production Intelligence, Factory of Future, Internet of Machine, Industrial Workflow, Cloud Manufacturing). They will develop more advanced case projects for selected corporate industrial environments.

Subject syllabus

  • Models and architecture of information and control systems (IRS) for small, medium and large enterprises with emphasis on the level of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and CPPSS (Collaboration Planning and Production System and Services) based on Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (Internet of Everything), Factory of future
  •  Introduction to the internet of all IoE- CISCO course
  •  Functionality, protocols and standards of middle layers of IRS and connection to technological and SCADA / HMI (visualization level of control) and technological architectures of DCS (Distributed Control System) of the system
  • Process data collection technologies through two-way transaction managers and process database servers, so-called historians, mechanisms of redundancy and availability of systems (failover, store and forward, etc.). Diagnostics and analysis of data collection from connected data sources
  • Real-time process data collection and archiving systems for process database servers. Subsystems, configuration, parameterization of process database systems
  • Monitoring the quality and efficiency of production – monitoring products and genealogy, setting recipes and production processes and plans, monitoring the performance and consumption of materials in real time, OEE and TEEP calculation
  • Providing and publishing data for middle and upper levels of the IRS through web and mobile technologies, industry portals and services
  • Mobile and web reporting (types of reports, correlations and reports from multiple data sources, integration of other web content, etc.) – advanced case studies and projects
  • Production intelligence, integration and cooperation – FoF (Factory of the Future) and Industry 4.0 concepts, industrial workflow, production analysis and decision support – advanced case studies and projects
  • Virtualization and cloud technologies in industry – CM (Cloud Manufacturing) and IoM (Internet of Machine, Things, EveringThings) – advanced case studies and projects
